Meet Dr. Matthew Ricke

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Ricke knew he wanted to be in the medical field before college and a service trip to the Dominican Republic first drew him to dentistry. He assisted a dentist and liked the immediacy of being able to solve someone’s problem. Since then, he has traveled to the Philippines, Guatemala, and Haiti to provide care to underserved populations. These days, he continues to bring a servant mentality to his private practice.
Where did you study dentistry?
After graduating from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, Dr. Ricke earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Tennessee. Since then, he has taken several hours of continuing education through the Spear Institute, McCracken Implant Education, Dawson Academy, and the Inspired Hygiene Program. He is also a certified Invisalign provider. On top of this, he is an active member of the American Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Ricke loves spending time with his wife Ali and their daughter. They enjoy playing golf and traveling together. Dr. Ricke is also a big tennis lover. He was the captain of the tennis team as a senior in college and participated in numerous USTA state league tournaments. He started a team at Highlands High School, and they went on to qualify for the state tournament in their second season.
